Apple just introduced Siri to the world, amazed. I hope it won’t be IKEA’s Anna II since that was horrible.
I’m looking for some barstools which I purchased in IKEA earlier, since I couldn’t locate them in the webpage, I tried to ask Anna for help.
Anna, “Can I help you?”
Me, “I’m looking for some bar stool.”
Anna redirects me to the Stools & Benches Category, and said, “Here you will find the Stools & Benches Category.”
Couldn’t find what I’m looking for in the page, I tried to be more specific,
“I want to find a bar stool called FRANKLIN”
Yet, Anna “cleverly” replied (again), “Here you will find the Stools & Benches Category.”
Being more specific again, I tried again, “I want FRANKLIN”
Anna immediately kicked me out from UK’s website, and redirected me to - IKEA -, the Global Portal, and answered me, “Find here information related to IKEA Group stores in the world.”
I’m being a bit irritated, so I said, “You got it wrong.”
Anna calmly replied, “I’m fine, thankyou for asking.”
Since Anna don’t really understand my question, I said,
“Check stock for FRANKLIN please.”
Her answer was strange, “Now you can find out if a particular product is in stock at your local IKEA store before you go shopping. Please use the form at the bottom of the page I am opening for you.”
Defeated, I asked, “Are you a robot?”
She honestly answered me, “I am a computer program. What would you like to know about IKEA?”
Alright, I asked again, “I just want some foldable barstool.”
She answered, “If you want affordable solutions for better living, you are at the right place.”
Totally mad, I said, “I wanna give you a punch on your face.”
She said, “I cannot as I am a computer program and I do not have a corporel dimension. Please submit a question which is specifically about IKEA.”
I stretched my finger though I know no one can see it… and shut down the browser window.
I hope Apple’s Siri won’t be the same…
